Business in the Community Awards 2010

This week we attended the BITC East of England Awards Gala Dinner at Hengrave Hall. The awards were developed specifically so that companies in the region can be recognised for their good work in society no matter how large or small.
As sponsors, we designed all the marketing material, case study booklet and presentation for the event.
We also gave away branded mints across all tables!

We are looking for an extra team member to join our Client Services Department as a full time Project Manager. The Project Manager's role is vital within our company and is an exciting position. You will be liaising with clients from a wide range of industry sectors, including big household name brands as well as SME’s.
Ideally candidates should have some experience of working in a creative/design environment and/or experience of handling projects and clients. Alternatively a training in a design field may be acceptable.
You will need to be organised, punctual, with an eye for detail. It is also vital that you can work to short deadlines and are self motivated.

Wagamama Gift Card and Point of Sale

We have recently started working with Wagamama on several key projects, one of which was the new gift cards completed for Christmas.
The project included:
- Design and artwork of new electronic Gift Cards and Gift Card Holder
- In-outlet analysis to brainstorm ideas for POS in line with the restaurant's style and brand, concepts were then produced.
- Point of Sale development to launch the new Gift Cards including a Wobbler, Strut Card, Till Display and Backing Card.
- Creation of Point of Sale included initial concepts, design, artwork, print, kit collation and distribution to 65 outlets.
- In restaurant Activation Guidelines were produced to ensure consistency and effectiveness of launch across all outlets.

EDP Business Awards 2009

We were nominated for the Community Impact Award at the EDP Business Awards. The ceremony was on Friday night and although we did not win, we did receive an award as a runner up (see below). The award went to Chapelfield.

Aprais Results

Farrows have been judged to have outstanding service & quality levels by an international appraisal company – Aprais.
What is the Aprais?
An Independent 360 degree global system for measuring and managing business relationships.
Aprais works for clients in every field, worldwide who employ agencies. The results are pooled and compared against national and international benchmarks
We are commissioned by Britvic Soft Drinks to carry out Aprais every 6 months and in June 2009 Farrows received the highest ever Aprais score for UK Client to Agency relationship.
The survey covers all aspects of Farrows output including:
• Creative design
• Artwork quality
• Account management
• Working with client’s suppliers
• Financial
• Overall performance and client satisfaction
The scores
• Our overall score is 88.4% the highest ever UK client to agency score
• UK benchmark of quality is 68%
• Farrows is now to be used as the mark to aim for on future surveys of other agencies

Watermen's Hall Brochure

The Brochure for Watermen's Hall has been printed and is now in circulation. This was a vast project which also involved us completing a large amount photograph of the hall and events that the Association of the Watermen & Lightermen were running as well as the design and artwork for the brochure itself.
The final brochure is printed on uncoated paper but uses spot UV to give the decoration of the front cover a gleaming finish.

P.R. Crane Branding

We have recently designed a new logo for P.R. Crane Civil Engineering. We will be carrying the logo and branding over stationery and a website.
The company vans were first to feature the new logo and are now on the road.


Britvic Exhibit at the 'Northern Restaurant & Bar Show'

Britvic recently exhibited at the 'Northern Restaurant & Bar Show.' Farrows designed all of the stand Graphics as well as the leaflets given out on the stand, following brand guidelines.
Britvic commented that the stand was 'the best in show!'


Carlsberg Trade Show

We were pleased to attend the Carlsberg trade show on the 25th Oct and see the huge 6m display we designed for Britvic, giving them maximum stand out.
The shows proved a great success for Britvic.
